Omnisend
Before exploring this article, make sure you read the article on how to create an embed content here. If you have read carefully and understand how to create embedded content, let's get started with us.
There are two ways to use embed content in Omnisend:
- Sync to Omnisend (recommended): Doran saves the embed content in Omnisend for you.
- Copy and paste manually: paste the HTML into an Omnisend email yourself.
Sync to Omnisend (recommended)
Syncing saves your embed content in Omnisend as Universal layouts, so you can reuse it in any email or automation without copying code.
You need to connect Omnisend to Doran first. If you haven't, follow this guide to create an API key and connect it in Settings > Integrations.
Generate embed content
Open your widget and generate the embed content for it, as described in Embed content. Make sure you generate it for the layout you want in your emails.
Click Sync to Omnisend
In the generate embed content form, click the Sync to Omnisend button. If Omnisend is not connected yet, you will see a Connect Omnisend first message with a Go to Integrations button that takes you straight to the settings.
Name your Universal layout
Enter a Universal layout name (up to 100 characters). By default, we use your widget title.
Doran saves two layouts in Omnisend using this name:
- [Desktop] your name
- [Mobile] your name
Click Sync
Click Sync and wait for the success message Synced to Omnisend. You can open each layout directly from the links Open desktop version in Omnisend and Open mobile version in Omnisend.
Use it in your email
In Omnisend, open the email you want to edit and click Edit email content. In the editor, open the Universal layouts section, then drag the [Desktop] layout to where you want the videos to appear.
To show the right version on each device, add the [Mobile] layout as well. For each one, select Layout > Visibility on devices, and choose Desktop only for the desktop layout and Mobile only for the mobile layout.
Copy and paste manually
If you don't use sync, you can paste the embed content into an Omnisend email yourself.
Add embed content for desktop
Now, add the embed content for desktop to your email. Drag the HTML element where you want the embed content to appear. Next, paste the embed content there.
Another very important step is to select Layout > Visibility on devices as Desktop only.
Add embed content for mobile
Because Omnisend supports both desktop and mobile versions, you may also add the embed content for mobile to your email.
