What is this?

This feature allows you to display Shoppable Videos prominently on a specific page of your store, creating a dedicated sales hub focused entirely on video content. You can organize which videos appear and customize how customers interact with them.

Use case

  • Create a dedicated "Customer Videos" page featuring user-generated content (UGC) for social proof.
  • Build a focused promotional landing page showcasing products with video explainers and demonstrations.
  • Centralize video reviews and testimonials to build customer trust on a single, easily accessible page.

How to set it up

Add a new page template

From your theme editor, you need to add a new page template. For this example, we will create a template and name it Customer Reviews.

Add a page template

Enter a page name

Add the Video Sales Page section

Within the new template you just created, click Add block or Add section. Search for and select the Video Sales Page option.

Add a section or a block

While here, you can customize the section's appearance by adjusting various options. Refer to the Customize appearance section below for detailed information on these settings.

Create a new page and apply the template

Now, navigate to your Shopify admin menu and go to Pages > Add page.

  1. Give your page a title (e.g., "Customer Videos").
  2. In the Theme template dropdown, select the template you created in Step 1 (e.g., Customer Videos).
  3. Click Save.

Add a page

Customize appearance

Customize the appearance and behavior of your Video Sales Page using the following options:

Tags

Select specific tags to filter which videos appear in this section. This allows you to control content organization, such as only showing videos tagged with 'review' or 'UGC'.

If you want to display videos using multiple tags, separate them with a comma. Leaving this field empty will display all your existing videos.

Heading

This option allows you to customize the title and description text displayed specifically for this page section.

In most cases, you won't need to edit this field directly, as the page already inherits its title from when you created it in Step 3.

Grid View

Video Behavior

Choose how customers will see and interact with your videos. The available options provide different levels of automation:

Display video thumbnail

This option shows only a static thumbnail image. Customers are required to click the thumbnail to watch the full video.

Play video automatically

This feature automatically plays a 3-second looped video preview to capture customer attention as they scroll.

Play whole video automatically

Similar to the previous option, selecting this will make the full content of your videos play automatically instead of just a 3-second loop.

Play on hover

Displays a thumbnail image initially. The video will automatically start playing when a customer hovers their cursor over the video item.

Spacing

This setting allows you to control the amount of space between each video item displayed within the grid layout.
