Basic writing with post editor
There are two ways to use the post editor in Doran:
Blocks: Click the + Block Inserter at the top left corner of the editor to add a block.
Commands: You can quickly add a command by typing /.
Heading
Headings organize content into sections and indicate hierarchy. Use larger headings for higher-level sections and smaller headings for subsections. Improves accessibility and clarity.
Paragraph
Paragraphs organize content, start with clear topic sentences and use supporting sentences to provide detail. Keep paragraphs focused and use transition sentences to connect them. Consider overall document structure.
Bulletted list
Bulleted lists can be used to:
- Highlight key points
- Break up long paragraphs
- Create a visual hierarchy
- Emphasize important information
- Improve readability and organization
To-do-list
Here are some purposes when using a to-do list in an editor:

You have the option to add an image to your document or webpage by uploading it from your computer, pasting the image URL, or searching for an image on Unsplash.
Video
Inserting videos can help explain concepts, showcase products, support arguments, and engage viewers for a more dynamic experience.
To insert a YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom video in an editor, copy the video’s embed code and paste it into the appropriate field.
Text format
Text formatting in an editor is an essential skill for creating visually appealing and easy-to-read content. By formatting your text, you can make it stand out, emphasize key points, and organize your content in a more structured and cohesive manner.
To choose a format for text, highlight the text and then click the Formatting button.
